Armed robbery is a first degree felony in the state of Florida and it carries a statutory maximum of 30 years in prison. Of course, the sentence depends on a few different things. Now comes a story where an armed robbery charge leads to something larger for the police.
Over in Orange County, the police arrested a man in connection to a May 19 killing of a 20-year-old man. Homicide detectives with the Orlando Police Department are confident that their suspect is the killer. The real surprise is that he was found in a place where the authorities hope he remains. He is currently being held in the Orange County Jail without bond since June 6 for unrelated armed robberies. Putting his potential homicide case aside, his run-ins with the law involving armed robberies are trouble enough.
