Corey Cohen delivers award for Seminole County Judge of the Year

One of Orlando’s elite criminal defense attorneys, Corey Cohen, delivered the award for Seminole County Judge of the Year to the Honorable James J. DeKleva at the annual Seminole County Bar Association Law Day Banquet. This annual event, which took place last Friday night (May 2nd), occurred at the Heathrow Country Club.

DeKleva was elected on Nov. 6, 2012 for a term that expires on January 8, 2019. He received his undergraduate degree (Political Science) from Florida State University and his J.D.degree in 1990 from the Sanford University Cumberland School of Law. Before he became an esteemed judge, he was an Assistant State Attorney for three years. In 1993 he opened his own law practice. 

Mr. Cohen was honored to bestow this award to such a highly respected judge.
