Zimmerman involved in shooting

Well, Matthew Apperson has now made a name for himself. Today he nearly shot George Zimmerman in the face. Yes, that George Zimmerman. The former “neighborhood watch” volunteer who shot and killed Trayvon Martin back in 2012. Zimmerman suffered facial injuries in this roadside shooting Monday near a busy intersection in Lake Mary, FL.

This isn’t the first time these two men have clashed. Apperson accused Zimmerman of making threats during a “road rage” incident last year. Zimmerman was released from a hospital after a brief stay to treat his injuries, this time around. Authorities believe the injuries were likely caused by flying glass or some other type of debris, and not the bullet fired.

Neither men are facing charges as of right now, but both men asked to speak to attorneys before being questioned.

Apperson will most likely be charged with some offense related to firearms, since he definitely pulled the trigger on Zimmerman. Few details of the incident have been released, but the police became involved when Zimmerman flagged down an officer soon after Apperson fired his gun

Back in September, Apperson called Lake Mary police to report that Zimmerman had threatened to shoot him while both were driving. Apperson elected not to press charges, so Zimmerman was not arrested. Apperson called police again two days later, reporting that Zimmerman appeared to be following him. Police questioned Zimmerman, but Apperson again declined to press charges.  So these road rage battlers have been going at this for some time now.

Sounds like these two might have an injunction filed soon. It certainly sounds like a restraining order is in need, badly!
