Truth about Federal Crimes

On Behalf of | Mar 31, 2014 | Federal Crimes

Federal crimes can be a rather large umbrella.

A man was recently indicted by a federal grand jury on a weapons charge in Orlando. The man, who is considered a “career criminal” with political ties, was arrested during the raid on his home.

The police also claim that there was drug and prostitution activity at the home. When federal and local agents entered the home they also found narcotics and guns. The suspect is not allowed to have any firearms due to the fact that he is a felon.

U.S. Homeland Security investigators state that the man told them that he purchased the weapon from a prostitute.

This sounds like something out of a plot from a Sons Of Anarchy episode.

Federal charges mean that you are fighting the U.S. government. That is no easy task. That’s why you better have an attorney with experience in this matter. Our firm has handled a plethora of federal charges.

Some federal crimes in Florida include: violent crimes, internet crimes, fraud, theft, extortion, embezzlement, arson, RICO, weapons charges and drug charges.

If convicted you could face a lengthy prison sentence, so it is imperative that you tackle these charges as aggressively as possible. You can’t hesitate while the government is building a case against you.

In federal criminal court there will be a grand jury proceeding before formal charges are ever even filled and/or a suspect arrested. The whole purpose of a grand jury proceeding is to establish if there is enough evidence to charge someone with a crime.

It can be a long, complicated legal process. All of this is why you need our law firm
