Yesterday’s news was quite a shock.
The car crash that sent another vehicle crashing into a day care center in Winter Park, FL, led to at least 14 injuries and the death of one 4 year-old girl. And now we have a suspect.
Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Robert Corchado. They say that he is the man who drove the SUV that hit the car that created this nightmare. His Dodge Durango was found abandoned over three hours after the incident. The driver who was hit by the SUV stayed at the scene of the accident, while rescue workers tried to help all involve.
Corchado was no where to be found. What is next for him?
When is caught he is sure to be charged with leaving the scene of an accident with death. It won’t be easy for him, considering all the people that were badly injured and of course the young child who lost her life.
He will need an attorney at his side as soon as possible. As you have noticed by the news coverage these past couple of days, law enforcement devotes a substantial amount of time to investigating hit and runs. They are thorough and determined.
Our law firm acts as quickly as we can when taking on a case such as this. We consult with accident scene reconstructionists to learn if any other factors could have been involved with the accident. Perhaps construction zones or bad weather were a factor. We review police reports and meet with many eyewitnesses.
Mr. Corchado has a lot of explaining to do, but with the proper representation he can ease his legal troubles.
