Daytona Beach Bank Robber ID’ed

On Behalf of | Jul 19, 2014 | Bank Robbery

When you have been identified by the police as a suspect in a bank robbery, your best option is to hire an attorney and turn yourself in. Begin the process of proving your innocence, sooner rather than later. Even if there wasn’t anyone harmed, or that much money stolen, a bank robbery charge brings serious consequences.

Daytona Beach police believe they have identified a suspect who robbed a TD Bank this morning. The authorities have made quick work and the suspect is on the run. The suspect walked into the bank and passed a note to a teller and implied she had a weapon. After receiving the cash, the suspect left the area before anyone could follow her. Detectives with the Daytona Beach Police Department were called to the scene and were quick to learn the identity of the suspect, thanks to the bank’s security monitors.

Since all banks in the United States are part of the FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation), this suspect will be looking at federal charges for her alleged bank heist. If she is charged with bank robbery, she and her attorney will have a battle on their hands. Taking on the federal government’s aggressive and experienced prosecutors is no joke. If she is convicted of the crime, she could possibly get up to ten years in prison. A major factor in all of this is finding out if she actually had a weapon during the robbery. If the prosecution can prove that a weapon was used to hold-up the band, then the penalties will likely be increased.
